Every year in May there is the Port Douglas Carnivale happening. While being a fun event it is also a great reason to write a new song.
Having written a song for Carnivale this year, Frank decided to compile an EP with songs about Port Douglas and Far North Queensland and have it available for sale in time for the Port Douglas Carnivale at the end of May.
The title is very appropriate – Macrossan Street.
Macrossan Street is the main street in Port Douglas and the main place to watch the Street Parade. This year the Macrossan Street Parade (Friday 20th May 2011) is a showcase of the diversity of the region’s talent and is well loved by both locals and tourists.
He performed it live at the local radio station – have a listen:
So when you visit Port Douglas keep your eyes open for this CD cover:
Macrossan Street – The EP is a great way to enjoy Port Douglas spirits even when you are not here.
