After recordings in Cairns (my vocals and acoustic guitars) and Brisbane (the band: lead guitar, bass and keyboard) in August and September additional tracks with special instruments were on the to-do-list. Violin, Viola, Accordion and Trumpet have been recorded at Pegasus Studios in Cairns already. Saxophone will follow soon.

The wonderful singers Nikki Doll and Lybbi Brockenshire added harmonies and “uuhs and aahs” to some songs. The girls are so talented. Having worked with me before they easily manage to adapt to my kind of phrasing. This week they will finish their work in a second session.

I can’t fly to Cairns again but thanks to modern technology I can be present nevertheless – Zoom meetings make this possible. As usual it is not only hard work but lots of fun too as they enjoy interpreting my satirical or humorous songs. Plan is to have the album finished by end of September. Fingers crossed.
